Website Terms of Use
Effective Date: October 5, 2026
These Website Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of the website operated by Therapy and Counseling for Women, LLC, doing business as Colorado Women’s Center (“Colorado Women’s Center,” “CWC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using this website (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Site.
These Terms govern your use of the Site and certain interactions that may occur before you become a client of CWC. They do not replace CWC’s clinical informed consent, financial policies, telehealth consent, Notice of Privacy Practices, or other agreements that may apply if you receive professional services from CWC.
1. About Colorado Women’s Center
Colorado Women’s Center is a mental health group practice providing psychotherapy and related mental health services through appropriately licensed or supervised clinicians.
CWC offers in-person services at locations in Colorado and telehealth services to eligible clients in jurisdictions where CWC clinicians are appropriately licensed or otherwise authorized to provide services, currently including Colorado and Wyoming.
Information about our services, therapists, locations, fees, availability, and other offerings may change from time to time.
2. Use of This Website
You may use this Site for lawful, personal purposes, including learning about CWC, our therapists and services, requesting information, and beginning the process of seeking care.
You may not use the Site to:
interfere with or disrupt the operation or security of the Site;
attempt to gain unauthorized access to CWC systems, accounts, or information;
use automated tools to scrape, copy, or collect Site content in a manner that violates applicable law or these Terms;
impersonate another person or provide intentionally false or misleading information; or
use the Site for any unlawful purpose.
The Site is not directed to children under 13. Children under 13 should not submit personal information through the Site. A parent or legal guardian seeking services for a child should contact CWC directly.
CWC also provides services to some teenagers. Requirements relating to parental or guardian involvement, consent to treatment, and confidentiality for minors are addressed through CWC’s clinical intake process and applicable law.
3. Website Information Is Not Mental Health Care
The information available on this Site is provided for general educational and informational purposes.
Website content, including information about mental health conditions, symptoms, therapeutic approaches, relationships, wellness, therapists, and treatment options, is not intended to provide a diagnosis, psychotherapy, medical advice, or individualized mental health advice.
Information on this Site should not be used as a substitute for evaluation or treatment by a qualified healthcare professional.
Mental health needs and treatment decisions are individual. A therapy method, service, therapist, or other resource described on the Site may not be appropriate for every person.
4. Using the Site Does Not Establish a Therapist-Client Relationship
Visiting this Site, reading its content, submitting a website form, contacting CWC, scheduling an appointment request, or participating in a Therapist Match Call does not by itself establish a therapist-client relationship with CWC or any CWC clinician.
A therapist-client relationship is established through CWC’s clinical intake and consent process and the initiation of professional services.
Until that relationship is established, you should not rely on communications through the Site, email, text message, or a Match Call as a substitute for mental health treatment or other professional care.
5. Therapist Match Calls and Therapist Matching
CWC uses a Therapist Match Call to help prospective clients find a therapist who may be a good fit.
During a Match Call, a CWC Wellness Coordinator may ask about what is bringing you to therapy, your preferences, scheduling needs, location, areas of concern, and other information that may help CWC recommend a therapist.
You control how much information you choose to share during the Match Call.
A Match Call is not psychotherapy, diagnosis, treatment, or a clinical assessment. It is intended to help CWC understand what you are looking for and identify a potential therapist or appropriate next step.
A Match Call does not guarantee that CWC will be able to provide services. In some circumstances, CWC may determine that it does not have an appropriate therapist, level of care, service, availability, or other resource to meet a prospective client’s needs. CWC may recommend that an individual seek services from another provider or organization when appropriate.
Information you provide when seeking services may include health-related information. The handling of that information is addressed in our Privacy Policy and, when applicable, our Notice of Privacy Practices.
6. Therapist Match Guarantee
CWC’s matching process is designed around the belief that the relationship between a client and therapist is an important part of effective therapy.
If your first CWC therapist does not feel like the right fit, CWC will assist you in finding another CWC therapist at no additional charge for the rematching process, subject to therapist availability, clinical appropriateness, scheduling, licensure requirements, and the services CWC offers.
The Therapist Match Guarantee applies to CWC’s matching assistance. It does not:
guarantee that a particular therapist will be available;
guarantee a specific appointment time, location, specialty, treatment method, or therapist characteristic;
guarantee that CWC will be clinically appropriate for every prospective client;
guarantee a particular treatment result or outcome;
waive fees for therapy sessions already provided; or
mean that therapy sessions with a newly matched therapist are provided without charge.
CWC recommends therapists based on the information available to us, but the decision to begin or continue working with a therapist remains yours.
7. Private-Pay Services, Insurance and Superbills
CWC is an out-of-network, private-pay practice. Clients are responsible for payment of CWC fees in accordance with the financial policies provided during the clinical intake process.
CWC does not participate as an in-network provider with private insurance plans.
Depending on the service and a client’s circumstances, CWC may provide a superbill or other documentation that can be submitted to an insurance carrier for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Insurance coverage and reimbursement are determined by the insurance carrier and the terms of the client’s individual plan. CWC cannot guarantee:
that an insurance company will reimburse any portion of CWC’s fees;
the amount of any reimbursement;
that a service will be considered covered or medically necessary;
that a client has out-of-network benefits; or
how a claim will be applied to a deductible or other plan requirement.
Any information CWC provides regarding insurance benefits is for convenience and should not be considered a guarantee of coverage or reimbursement. Clients are responsible for understanding and confirming their own insurance benefits.
Current information about CWC’s fees, insurance practices, and limitations involving Medicare, Medicaid, or other public benefit programs is available on our Fees & Insurance page.
8. Good Faith Estimates
Individuals who are uninsured or who choose not to use insurance may have rights under federal law to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for scheduled healthcare services.
Additional information about these rights is available on CWC’s No Surprises Act page.
The Good Faith Estimate process and any financial agreement provided to a client are separate from these Website Terms.
9. Emergencies and Crisis Situations
This Site, website forms, email, text messaging, and Therapist Match Calls are not emergency or crisis services and should not be used to seek emergency assistance.
CWC does not guarantee that website submissions, voicemail, email, text messages, or other electronic communications will be reviewed immediately.
If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, you may call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
If you are concerned about your immediate safety or the immediate safety of another person, seek emergency assistance rather than waiting for a response from CWC.
10. Telehealth and Availability of Services
CWC offers telehealth services to eligible clients in jurisdictions where CWC clinicians are appropriately licensed or otherwise authorized to provide those services, currently including Colorado and Wyoming.
The availability of telehealth depends on factors that may include the client’s physical location at the time of the appointment, the treating clinician’s licensure or other authorization to practice in that jurisdiction, clinical appropriateness, therapist availability, technology requirements, and applicable law.
A therapist who is available to provide services to a client located in one state may not be legally authorized to provide services to that same client while the client is physically located in another state.
Clients receiving telehealth services may therefore be asked to confirm their physical location at the beginning of a telehealth appointment.
Information appearing on the Site about a therapist, specialty, service, office location, state availability, or appointment availability does not guarantee that the service or therapist will be available to a particular individual.
Therapist schedules, areas of practice, credentials, licenses, office assignments, and availability may change.
11. SMS, Email, Phone and Other Communications
If you provide CWC with your telephone number, email address, or other contact information and consent to communications where required, CWC may contact you regarding your inquiry, scheduling, appointment reminders, client service, or other matters related to your interaction with CWC.
For text messages, message frequency may vary and message and data rates may apply. You may reply STOP to unsubscribe from text messages or HELP for assistance.
Opting out of text messages does not prevent you from receiving services from CWC, although it may limit our ability to provide certain electronic reminders or updates.
Email and standard SMS communications may have privacy and security limitations. Do not use email or text messaging for emergencies.
CWC’s collection and use of information submitted through the Site or related communications is described in our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, our Notice of Privacy Practices.
12. Privacy and Health Information
Your privacy is important to us.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information associated with use of this Site.
When information is Protected Health Information governed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”), CWC’s use and disclosure of that information is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices and applicable law.
These documents address different types of information and different aspects of your relationship with CWC. These Website Terms are not intended to replace either document.
13. Third-Party Services and Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites or use third-party services that help provide functions such as scheduling, forms, maps, communications, payments, or other website features.
CWC does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for the content, availability, security, or privacy practices of websites or services that are not operated by CWC.
A link to a third-party website does not necessarily mean that CWC endorses all information, products, or services available through that website.
Your use of a third-party website or service may also be subject to that provider’s own terms and privacy practices.
14. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, the Site and its original content, including text, graphics, branding, logos, design elements, photographs, videos, and other materials, are owned by or licensed to CWC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may view and use Site content for your own personal, noncommercial purposes.
You may not reproduce, distribute, publish, modify, sell, commercially exploit, or create derivative works from CWC content without permission, except as allowed by law.
Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of CWC trademarks, branding, website content, or other intellectual property.
15. Website Accuracy and Availability
CWC makes reasonable efforts to keep information on the Site useful and current. However, healthcare services, therapist availability, fees, locations, state availability, scheduling, programs, policies, and other information can change.
CWC does not warrant that every piece of Site content will always be complete, current, or free from error.
The Site may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical issues, security events, third-party service interruptions, or circumstances outside CWC’s control.
CWC may modify, suspend, remove, or update Site content or functionality at any time.
16. Website Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Site and its general informational content are provided on an “as available” basis.
CWC does not guarantee that the Site will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, or that general information available through the Site will be appropriate for every individual or circumstance.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CWC will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising solely from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the general informational content of the Site.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive or limit any legal right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived or limited. Nothing in this section is intended to limit CWC’s responsibilities relating to professional mental health services, clinical care, or obligations established by applicable healthcare law or a client’s clinical agreements with CWC.
17. Colorado Law and General Terms
These Terms and your use of the Site are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
This provision applies to use of the Site and is not intended to alter the laws, professional licensing requirements, standards of practice, or regulatory requirements that apply to mental health services provided to a client in another jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
CWC’s failure to enforce a provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
These Terms govern use of the Site and the pre-client interactions described above. If you become a CWC client, additional clinical, financial, privacy, telehealth, and consent documents will apply to the professional services you receive.
Where a signed clinical agreement specifically governs the provision of mental health services, that agreement governs the clinical relationship.
18. Changes to These Terms
CWC may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, website, practices, jurisdictions of practice, or applicable requirements.
When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of the Site after updated Terms are posted means that your use of the Site will be subject to the version then in effect.
