A letter from the founder
Why I built CWC, and why it matters that you join it.
To the therapist reading this:
I left home as a teenager with no roadmap. I moved through New York City, Chicago, and Denver looking for something to attach to, making one poor decision after another, until I found myself alone, single, and the mother of a son.
With an infant, few resources, and almost no support, I faced something that felt impossible. What I discovered in that difficulty changed everything. The loneliness and fear forced me to stop looking outward for guidance and start listening to something I had never trusted before: my own inner wisdom. That discovery became the foundation I built my entire life on.
Within four years I earned two master's degrees in Psychology while raising my son alone. I learned to let go of other people's opinions. I learned to turn shame into fuel. My son taught me to love in a way I had never experienced, and that love opened new possibilities in how I saw the world.
"Every location we have built represents a place for women to find their innate strength. To use life challenges as a way to develop and grow. Sometimes women rediscover a self they thought was lost. Sometimes, the chrysalis reveals an entirely new person who has been waiting to fly."
Colorado Women's Center is my most outstanding achievement. I built it for women of every age, background, and story. But I also built it for the therapists who show up to do this work, because good therapists deserve a practice that takes care of them too.
You came into this profession to conduct therapy. We built a structure here where you can focus on exactly that. Good clinical leadership around you. A team of colleagues who genuinely support each other. An administrative team that handles what doesn't need to be on your plate. And clients who come to CWC ready to do the work.
If you believe in women, if you believe in your clients, and if you want to grow as a clinician inside a community that invests in you, we want to meet you.
With warmth and belief,
Kendra Miguez

What makes this practice different
Why therapists choose CWC
Four things consistently come up in conversations with therapists who join our team.
Working with us means being part of a practice dedicated to empowering women through mental health. We are more than just a place to see clients; we are a values-based organization where therapists and staff become part of a community focused on elevating women. Our mission is deeply rooted in fostering a supportive environment that champions mental health, wellness, and the ongoing fight for equality.
CWC is a private-pay practice. The CWC administrative and Wellness Coordinator teams handle client matching, scheduling, billing, and operational support. Therapists here come in to see clients. That's the job. No insurance process sitting between you and your clinical work.
Therapy is a profession that can feel solitary. At CWC it doesn't. Peer supervision, team collaboration across locations, community lunches, and shared professional development are part of how we operate. Therapists describe this community as something they didn't expect to find, and the reason they love showing up every day.
Individual supervision is included. Continuing education is supported. There are genuine advancement pathways from therapist to senior clinician to Clinical Manager. CWC is growing across the Front Range, which means the opportunities ahead are real. Therapists here grow.

Compensation depends on licensure level, experience, and session volume. We also pay a stipend while you build your caseload, so you're not waiting on income while you get started.
