Michelle Kauffman, LPC brings experience working with clients across the lifespan in outpatient settings as well as higher levels of care, including inpatient and residential treatment. She supports individuals navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, and complex eating disorders, and is especially passionate about working with women in eating disorder recovery, as well as athletes and those in high-performance environments. Her approach is trauma-informed and grounded in evidence-based practices, including EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She also integrates skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build practical tools for daily life.
Through this integrative work, she supports clients in processing past experiences, moving through feelings of “stuckness,” and building the resilience needed for lasting change. Michelle creates a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, reconnect with their values, and move toward a more grounded and authentic way of living. She believes therapy is a collaborative partnership, one that honors both evidence-based care and each person’s unique story, beliefs, and goals. She is especially passionate about supporting women in reconnecting with themselves and navigating life’s transitions with greater clarity and confidence. Outside of the therapy room, Michelle enjoys spending time in nature, cooking, playing piano, and training for triathlons.
