Em (They/She) is the Operations Manager at Colorado Women’s Center, where they oversee the day-to-day operations that support both clients and clinicians across the organization. With a background in operations, recruiting, systems optimization, and people-centered leadership, Em is passionate about creating thoughtful processes that allow both clients and team members to feel supported, connected, and cared for.
As a Two-Spirit person, Em has long understood the importance of accessible, affirming mental health care, particularly for individuals from historically marginalized communities. Raised by a family of strong, resilient women, they developed a deep appreciation for the strength found in connection, compassion, and community. Those values continue to guide their work and are at the heart of why they chose to build their career at Colorado Women’s Center.
In their role, Em leads the Operations and Intake teams while overseeing the systems, processes, and day-to-day operations that keep the organization running smoothly. They provide strategic leadership, develop and refine operational workflows, support team development, and foster a collaborative, efficient, and people-centered culture. Em believes that the best systems are built with empathy, balancing operational excellence with genuine care for the people they are designed to serve.
Outside of work, Em enjoys spending time in nature through hiking, camping, and skiing, getting lost in a good book, and expressing their creativity through pottery. Guided by the words of Ram Dass, “We’re all just walking each other home,” Em strives to bring that same spirit to every aspect of their work.
