Therapist & Counselor

Elisabeth Shields, LPC

Elisabeth Shields, LPC is a person-centered, trauma-informed therapist who brings compassion, curiosity, and a collaborative approach to her work. She holds a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Florida. She works collaboratively with clients to help them understand themselves more fully and take steps toward self-acceptance, compassion, and change. Elisabeth creates a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where each client feels seen and heard. She draws from a variety of evidence-based practices—including Internal Family Systems, CBT, EMDR, mindfulness, and somatic work—tailoring treatment to what resonates best for each individual.

She is passionate about supporting clients who want to deepen their understanding of themselves and their relationships, and she works with challenges such as anxiety, grief and loss, body-image and self-esteem concerns, histories of self-harm or suicidality, and trauma. Elisabeth has experience working with clients from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, as well as members of the LGBTQ+ community. Having personally experienced therapy herself, Elisabeth understands the importance of feeling safe, validated, and respected. She is dedicated to guiding clients toward greater self-acceptance, self-love, and a deeper connection to themselves.
