Caitlin provides psychotherapy and art therapy for teens, adults and seniors at the Colorado Women’s Center. She take a person-centered, holistic and mindfulness-based approach to treatment, while maintaining a focus in expressive therapy modalities. Caitlin believes therapy should be a collaborative experience, with emphasis on rapport building and a foundation on trust and respect with client and therapist.

At Colorado Women’s Center, Caitlin strives to meet my client’s needs in the moment, whether that be through various talk therapy methods including psychoeducation and skill building or creative expression. She approaches therapy sessions with a trauma focus, in addition to utilizing a combination of DBT and CBT tools for further support. These models and tools help support clients in establishing healthier coping mechanisms, addressing unconscious patterns or triggers leading to moments of distress, create opportunity for individual strength building and personal growth.

As an Art Therapist, Caitlin support the utilization of art materials in session as a supplementary method of communication for clients. In the therapeutic setting through compassion and encouragement, Caitlin works to address the various concerns clients hold. She works with clients seeking support with trauma, stress management, communication issues, anxiety, depression, inner child work, attachment concerns, relationship dynamics and self-esteem. Caitlin encourages clients to come in authentically, with whatever struggles their day may bring.

Caitlin earned a Master of the Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Transpersonal Art Therapy at Naropa University in Boulder, CO. Caitlin earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Human Development and Family Sciences at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She currently hold a LPCC and ATR-P licensures. In addition to the Colorado Women’s Center, Caitlin has experience working in the following professional atmospheres: an adolescent residential treatment center, charter school supporting adolescents experiencing developmental/behavioral needs, an acute inpatient and outpatient hospital supporting adolescents to seniors through art and psychotherapy groups, and group practice supporting adolescents, teens and adults.

In her spare time, Caitlin is pursuing her art and enjoys continually building skills and connections through an abundance of creative expression. She enjoys spending time with family and loved ones, exploring Colorado with her dog Jackson, traveling, spending any time outdoors including camping, hiking, or rock climbing. On the weekends, Caitlin attends farmer’s or arts market, tending to plant babies or seeing local live music.
